Taken from the album “Back From The Grave”, ”Love Will Tear You Apart” exemplifies Carnal Agony’s rocking riffs, big hooks and vintage metal attitude. The video, directed by Owe Lingwall at DreamDay Media, highlights those traits as well as showcases the bands energetic live performance.

With music and lyrics by Mathias Wallin, the track was recorded at Studio Seven Sweden in Örebro by Ronny Milianowicz. “The track is written as a soundtrack to the questionable choices and poor decisions we’ve all made”, says Mathias. “The idea of a guy meeting a girl who turns out to be a vampire, at first regretting it but finally realizing that it’s not too bad getting loved to death after all, is something that I think is fundamentally relatable. I mean, we’re Swedes, and who here hasn’t woken up after an evening of drunken debauchery, at first not knowing what happened and then realizing that you’ve met your partner for life?” Guitarist Pär-Olof Persson adds: “The track may be poppy, but still feels decidedly metal with the pounding double bass and neo-classical guitar bridge. I had to learn to play guitar for that part.” Vocalist David Johagen develops: “It wasn’t hard getting in character while singing this track. I was hard though. I mean, who doesn’t want to be a ‘sex toy for a deviant beast’?”.
